Duathlon is an athletic event (not to become confused using biathlon) that usually consists of the running leg, followed by a cycling leg and then an additional running leg in the format bearing a select few resemblance to triathlons.
The world's big duathlin up to now is the first London Duathlon, which took place on 17 September, 2005 in Richmond Park, Surrey. Close to 2,500 population participate. the independent race consisted of a 10k begin, 20k period ride & 5k rerun.
In a United States, Duathlon is governed by United states Triathlon; a International Triathlon Union governs the sport internationally.
